Kibbitzer 70

Apology not needed

This Kibbitzer is based on the draft of the conclusion of a dissertation by a Turkish-speaking theologian on Western and Muslim views of prayer.

OriginalRevision
We do not want to repeat what we said before, but we want to make some comparison between Western and Muslim's views as concluding section of our research. In the concluding section, a general comparison will be drawn between Western and Muslim views of prayer, based on the detailed descriptions of the views of different thinkers in the earlier part of the dissertation

Here it is, I think, far too pessimistic to assume that the Conclusion may simply (and accidentally?) repeat what was said in the earlier setions. The aim should be to make it appear that the dissertation was planned and written as a whole, with the earlier detailed descriptions being the basis of the general discussion in in the last section. Hence the rewrite on the right, agreed with the student.
