WordSmith Tools Manual

The idea is to be able to delete entries automatically using criteria you define. For example, a word list based on lots of texts but you want to remove any items which are from too few texts.

How to do it

Choose Edit | Delete | Delete If...

The data column box offers all the columns in your current data set. The conditions available include

test_whether_options1

test_whether_options2

Simple Example

delete_if

tog_plus        Advanced uses

Once you've chosen the settings, press Add a search and Find. In the first example above all entries coming from 10 or fewer texts were deleted. If you decide that's OK, you can then Zap them to get rid of them.

Changed your mind?

To restore any deleted items, go to the top of your list and choose Edit | Restore deleted | Restore to end.
