XP Rules OK!
The Dell XPS M1210 laptop seems to like XP. Much more responsive! It was worth the hassle. If I were to do this again, I'd insist on XP when I bought it. Vista may come good eventually (they say there's a service pack coming out soon) but I think it will take some time.
